An honest and sensitive girl who lives with her grandmother, Lena Petri, believes that the man she loved has deceived her in a despicable way. Disappointed, she throws herself in front of a car. Seriously injured, she is taken to the hospital, but is saved thanks to the successful surgery performed by Dr. Varna. When she recovers, she falls in love with him, but is forced to suppress her feelings when she learns that he is engaged to a ruthless social climber who will stop at nothing to climb the social ladder.
